Startup Communities

1 min read

This is a pretty interesting sketch illustrating the concepts behind the book Startup Communities by Brad Feld, co-founder of Techstars accelerator. After spending a LOT of time in the startup world, one of the biggest violations I regularly see are communities being organized and driven not by the entrepreneurs and founders, but by people with salaries working for some subsidized program or government agency. Their focus is to make enough noise so they can ensure their program funding gets renewed. UGH!
